Do Yard Signs Influence Voters?
Do Yard Signs Influencer Voters? Yard signs have been a staple of political campaigns for many years. These signs are a simple yet effective way
The Situation
Susan Hutson faced 17-year Orleans Parish Sheriff Marlin Gusman as a first-time candidate. She needed a way to cut through political noise and speak directly with her voters. Her action committee came to Fox for help.
The Solution
Susan needed a full service politcal marketing agency with printing, mailing, digital and TV commercial solutions. Facing a 17-year incumbent and with fewer funds, we knew her ads had to reach and impact her voters where they lived.
Strategy
Our strategy was to serve political banner ads, TV commercials, door hangers and postcards to the homes of her voters. Using proprietary technology, we mapped 96% of her voter list to home IP addresses, printed over 100,000 postcards and door hangers. We designed 10 banner ads and formatted two, 30-second commercials.
Results
Many analysts doubted the first-time candidate could oust her powerful opponent but that’s exactly what she did! Thanks, in part, to the almost half million impressions delivered by Fox Marketing.
